Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and generating revenue for the company. This role will focus on hunting and acquiring new clients in the US market, primarily through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, strong prospecting skills, and a deep understanding of the US market.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect and identify potential clients through cold calling, targeted lead generation, and networking events.
  2. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products/services and their applications in various industries.
  3. Conduct in-depth research on prospective clients to gather intelligence and identify key decision-makers.
  4. Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within target accounts to generate new business opportunities.
  5. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospects, effectively communicating the unique value proposition of our solutions.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales support, and customer success, to develop and execute sales strategies.
  7. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
  8. Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and results to management.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  3. Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  4. Strong prospecting and cold calling skills, with experience in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex solutions to key stakeholders.
  6. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  7. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to identify and overcome objections.
  8. Ability to travel within the US as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  9. Proficient in CRM software and other sales productivity tools.
  10. Experience in [industry or market segment] is a plus.
