Interaction Design

·       Design effective and intuitive interaction patterns for digital products, ensuring accessibility and usability.

·       Collaborate with researchers and team members to translate user insights into interaction designs.

·       Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows that effectively communicate design concepts.

·       Work within multidisciplinary teams to integrate interaction designs into wider service or product solutions.

·       Conduct usability testing to refine and iterate on interaction designs.

·       Apply and advocate for design standards, including accessibility and GDS/NHS service principles where applicable.

Project Delivery

·       Deliver high-quality interaction design outputs on time and within scope.

·       Engage with clients to understand objectives and align interaction designs with user needs and business goals.

·       Document design decisions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.

·       Collaborate with delivery managers and project leads to ensure alignment and quality throughout project phases.

 

Team Collaboration and Development

·       Work as part of multidisciplinary teams, sharing interaction design expertise to enhance team outcomes.

·       Share knowledge and learnings from projects to contribute to the development of the UCD practice.

·       Participate in team ceremonies, including design critiques, showcases, and huddles, to support team development.

Stakeholder Engagement

·       Engage with clients and stakeholders to build trust and establish yourself as a reliable interaction design professional.

·       Present interaction designs and communicate their value to diverse audiences.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Demonstratable experience in interaction design or related disciplines such as UX design or UI design.
  • Familiarity with agile working environments and user-centred design principles.
  • Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Sketch, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their application in design.
  • Familiar with HTML prototyping toolkits (i.e. GOV.UK and NHS.UK)
  • Experience of discovery and alpha project phases

 

Skills:

  • Strong interaction design skills with an ability to create user-centred solutions.
  • Basic understanding of usability testing methods and how to incorporate findings into designs.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and balance priorities
