Engineering Leadership (overseeing multiple CSMS engineering teams)
Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Direction: Lead and manage multiple CSMS engineering teams, providing clear direction on the product roadmap and engineering activities in collaboration with technical leaders and product management.

Technical Vision & Standards: Define and champion engineering standards for the CSMS. Lead the design and implementation of frameworks, tools, and processes for product development, deployment, and monitoring.

Engineering Excellence: Influence ways of working to embed good engineering practices and sound system designs. Drive consistency, standards, pace, and quality across teams. Actively resolve technical blockers.

Cultural Transformation: Foster a proactive, product-minded culture embracing DevOps principles ("you build it, you run it"). Develop a culture where team members consistently perform at their best.

Community Engagement: Build relationships and collaborate with the wider NHS England engineering community, including working groups and communities of practice sponsored by the ETA. Promote re-use and collaboration within the community.
- Strategic Influence: Influence the future vision for delivery and effectively communicate this vision to the engineering community. Evangelise best practices and standards in design and delivery.
