This role is for a Sr. Software Engineer (Oracle DBA) responsible for Oracle Cloud and on-premises database installation, configuration, performance, security, and high availability in enterprise production environments. Candidate must have relevant experience of 10 or more years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.

• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle 19c+ database environments across development, QA, and production.
• Administer Oracle Multi-tenant (CDB/PDB) architectures and manage pluggable database lifecycle operations.
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and validate recoverability through regular testing.
• Tune SQL queries, manage execution plans, and perform proactive performance analysis using AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
• Manage Oracle Data Guard (physical and logical standby) configurations for high availability and disaster recovery and conduct switchover and failover exercises.
• Oversee Oracle RAC cluster administration including interconnect tuning, node management, and resource allocation.
• Control user access, roles, profiles, and implement TDE, auditing, and Oracle Label Security where applicable.
• Administer Oracle 19c+ databases focusing on installation, patching, tuning, security, and HA/DR.
• Support and administer WebLogic 14c, OUD, ODI, OAS, APEX, and OMS 24ai as part of the integrated technology stack.
• Use Ansible Tower for playbook development, inventory management, role-based automation, and Tower job templates for database and middleware operations.
• Manage VMware vSphere for VM lifecycle management, storage, networking, and resource optimization for database workloads.
• Manage Oracle DBA activities on Oracle Cloud, including DB installation and configuration for production-grade workloads.
• Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of Oracle estates at scale, including multi-terabyte databases, large schema counts, and high-transaction environments.

• Demonstrable track record managing Oracle estates at scale, including multi-terabyte databases, 100+ schemas, and high-transaction environments.
• Ability to work across development, QA, and production teams to ensure consistent database standards and best practices.
• Strong focus on automation, repeatability, and operational excellence using tools such as Ansible Tower and VMware vSphere.
• Capability to support a broad Oracle technology stack including databases, middleware, and monitoring solutions.

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience accepted.
• 10 or more years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.
• Strong expertise in Oracle 19c+ Database Administration, including installation, patching, tuning, security, and HA/DR.
• Experience with Oracle Multi-tenant (CDB/PDB), Data Guard, RAC, RMAN, AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
• Experience with WebLogic 14c, OUD, ODI, OAS, APEX, and OMS 24ai administration.
• Proficiency with Ansible Tower for automation and VMware vSphere for virtualized database infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of database security, including TDE, auditing, Oracle Label Security, and robust user and role management.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex performance and availability issues in enterprise-scale Oracle environments.
