Job Summary

Test Engineer role focused on Quality Engineering and Performance Testing using JMeter and related tooling. Candidate must have relevant experience of 1 to 4 Years. The role involves designing and executing non-functional tests, analysing application performance, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure systems meet defined performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply working knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, Kibana, and PerfMon to design and execute non-functional test suites.
• Analyse business scenarios and non-functional requirements, implement test approaches with workload modelling, and develop performance test scripts using appropriate techniques.
• Plan and execute load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests to validate application and system performance against defined benchmarks.
• Create baseline performance reports for applications and systems, summarising key metrics, trends, and recommendations.
• Identify, prepare, and manage test data required for performance and non-functional testing across environments.
• Read server logs (error and trace) and identify root causes for validation errors and performance bottlenecks.
• Clearly articulate, flag, and communicate execution issues, risks, and observations to project teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and Salesforce teams to troubleshoot performance issues and support optimisation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of performance testing practices, frameworks, and reusable assets within the Quality Engineering function.

Other Capabilities

• Good to have knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, for performance testing and monitoring in cloud-hosted environments.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail in interpreting performance metrics and logs.
• Proactive approach to identifying potential performance risks early in the lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in Quality Engineering with a focus on Performance Testing using JMeter.
• Working knowledge of performance monitoring and analysis tools such as Kibana and PerfMon.
• Experience with SQL Server, including writing queries to support test data preparation and performance analysis.
• Understanding of non-functional testing types, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Ability to analyse business scenarios and non-functional requirements and translate them into performance test designs and workload models.
• Skills in reading and interpreting server logs (error and trace) to diagnose issues and validate system behaviour.
• Familiarity with Salesforce environments is an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills to articulate issues, findings, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
