Data Analytics Developer - Power BI / Artificial Intelligence - AWS - AmazonQ Developer (Technical) Senior Consultant

Design and develop reporting and analytics solutions that provide operational and management insight from complex data sources, while also contributing to Artificial Intelligence solutions on AWS using AmazonQ as a Senior Consultant. Candidate must have relevant experience of 7 to 10 Years. The role will shape a reporting capability for operational services where accuracy, lineage and controlled access are critical. Solutions will bring together workflow, case, quality and delivery data to support day-to-day management and evidence-based decision-making. The Senior Consultant will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to build scalable, secure and governed reporting and AI solutions in a hybrid UK working model.

- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and datasets.
- Translate business requirements into effective visualisations and reporting solutions.
- Build data models, measures and calculations using Power Query and DAX.
- Integrate multiple data sources and ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Develop reusable reporting patterns and support a scalable reporting capability.
- Optimise dashboard performance and user experience.
- Work with analysts and stakeholders to iterate requirements through discovery and delivery.
- Apply appropriate security and access controls to reporting solutions.
- Define report-level data-quality checks, reconciliation controls and clear metric definitions.
- Document dataset lineage, refresh dependencies and support arrangements for production reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams across technical, operational and business functions to deliver end-to-end analytics and AI solutions.
- Design and implement AI-driven features and workflows leveraging AWS services and AmazonQ in alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure that reporting and AI solutions adhere to security, governance and compliance requirements in secure, controlled or regulated environments.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices as a Senior Consultant to support continuous improvement of analytics and AI capabilities.
- Reduce manual reporting effort and enable faster operational insight through automation and standardisation.
- Maintain clear ownership, lineage and controls for datasets, reports and AI components.

- Ability to work directly with business users to refine reporting and analytics requirements.
- Comfortable working in Agile teams across technical, operational and business functions.
- Strong focus on data quality, auditability and delivery discipline.
- Able to handle sensitive information, evidence and access-controlled data in line with defined procedures.
- Experience working in secure, controlled or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated capability to act as a Senior Consultant, influencing stakeholders and mentoring team members on best practices in data analytics and AI on AWS.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to build trust in dashboards, metrics and AI outputs.
- Commitment to developing maintainable, scalable and well-documented reporting and AI solutions.

- Strong commercial Power BI development experience.
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query and dimensional data modelling.
- Experience with SQL and relational data sources.
- Knowledge of dashboard design and data visualisation best practice.
- Experience working with complex or operational datasets.
- Azure data-services experience is advantageous.
- Experience with row-level security, deployment pipelines, gateways and governed self-service reporting is desirable.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence solutions on AWS, with exposure to AmazonQ or similar AI-driven services.
- Understanding of cloud-based data and analytics architectures, preferably on AWS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into data and AI solutions.
- Experience as a Senior Consultant or equivalent role, delivering complex analytics or AI projects end-to-end.
- Oracle domain knowledge is beneficial for integrating and interpreting data from Oracle-based systems.
