Job Summary

Oracle HCM Consultant (Functional) responsible for Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management implementations, solution design, configuration, and client-facing delivery across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Must have worked on the Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) implementations along with Absences.
Must be well versed with Fast Formula.
Should have conducted client Workshops/Solution Designing and Configuration on the module.
Preferred to have knowledge & experience with data migration to Oracle Cloud.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.
Must have experience in migration of setup changes from non-Production to Production environment.
Must have worked on implementation projects.
Must be able to manage customer facing role.
Must be comfortable to travel as per business needs.
Must be flexible to work in different time-zone as per client meeting schedules.
Must have hands-on experience configuring Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) integrations with Oracle Projects, including setup of project IDs, tasks, expenditure types, and ensuring correct propagation of project-related costing into downstream modules such as Payroll.
Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex OTL configuration issues involving time entry layout components, time attributes, and value sets (including binding variables), especially in the context of Redwood UI and unified layout changes.
Must have strong proficiency in designing and configuring advanced OTL rules for overtime, compensatory time, rounding, meal breaks, and weekly overtime using rule templates, rule sets, time consumer sets, and fast formulas.
Must have practical experience in debugging, modifying, and extending existing fast formulas in OTL to meet complex customer-specific scenarios, including working from pre-existing formula repositories.
Must have experience designing and implementing OTL approval workflows, including threshold-based approvals such as hours-based approvals, parallel approvals, serial approvals, and manager routing logic aligned with business needs.
Must have hands-on experience configuring complex overtime scenarios in Oracle Time & Labor where a single overtime time type and a continuous time range must be automatically split into multiple overtime bands (for example, different percentages for 5–7, 7–9, 9–11) using rule templates and fast formulas, without user selection of multiple time types.
Must have strong capability to design and articulate end-to-end OTL architecture, clearly explaining the interaction and dependencies between time entry profiles, time processing profiles, rule sets, time consumer sets, fast formulas, and downstream modules such as Payroll and Projects.
Must have practical experience configuring and troubleshooting OTL time entry layouts to support auto-population of custom time attributes (for example, department) via value sets, including handling issues introduced by Redwood UI/unified layout and adjusting binding variables appropriately.
Must have experience configuring and using costing override capabilities within OTL time entry layouts and understanding their implications on approvals and downstream costing.
Must have experience designing and configuring OTL approval workflows that incorporate costing overrides, including the ability to propose and implement logical approval routing patterns (for example, serial and parallel approvals) when time is costed to departments different from the worker’s home department.
Must have experience configuring and managing HCM groups in OTL, including handling scenarios where employees belong to multiple HCM groups and aligning group-based eligibility with time entry and processing profiles.
Must have hands-on experience with Oracle Absence Management configuration for US legislation, including accrual-based plans such as vacation or annual leave and qualification plans such as maternity, paternity, bereavement, and compensatory plans with statutory eligibility rules.
Must have experience configuring payroll-impacting and non–payroll-impacting absence plans, including eligibility criteria based on gender, hours worked, and statutory limits such as US FMLA-type rules.
Must have experience configuring and troubleshooting Redwood-related changes in OTL, including unified layout behavior, time card opening issues, and value set design specific to Redwood.
Must have hands-on experience with Core HR features such as position synchronization, including configuration at enterprise and legal employer levels and understanding override behavior on assignment attributes.
Must have experience defining and using Areas of Responsibility (AOR) for data security and approvals, including designing data roles so that specific roles such as timekeepers can access and manage time cards only for designated departments or populations.
Must have demonstrated ability to propose logical, business-aligned approval and security designs (for example, how timekeeper roles, line managers, and other departmental managers should interact in approvals and data access) rather than relying solely on stated customer requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) and Absence Management modules.
Strong understanding of Fast Formula and Oracle HCM Cloud configuration practices.
In-depth knowledge of OTL integrations with Oracle Projects and downstream Payroll costing.
Expertise in advanced OTL rule configuration, approval workflows, costing overrides, HCM groups, and Redwood-related behaviors.
Good understanding of US Absence Management legislative requirements, including accrual-based and qualification plans with statutory rules.
Knowledge of Core HR features such as position synchronization and Areas of Responsibility for data security and approvals.
