About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our growing delivery team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex digital transformation programmes across both public and private sector clients.

As a Scrum Master, you will lead Agile delivery across cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful adoption of Scrum principles and Agile best practices. You will work closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, stakeholders, and client representatives to drive continuous improvement and enable successful delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Enable teams to consistently apply Agile principles, Scrum practices, and delivery standards.
• Remove delivery impediments and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve blockers impacting sprint goals.
• Partner with Product Owners to manage, refine, and prioritise product backlogs.
• Ensure user stories and requirements are clearly defined and understood by the delivery team.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile values, Scrum roles, and continuous improvement practices.
• Track and report Agile delivery metrics including velocity, burndown, throughput, and team capacity.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
• Ensure sprint outcomes align with overall programme objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Support risk, issue, and dependency management activities within wider project governance.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8-12 years of professional experience with significant experience working as a Scrum Master.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, Scrum frameworks, and Agile principles.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies across cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations within complex delivery environments.
• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to identify and remove impediments while driving delivery momentum.
• Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrable experience tracking and reporting Agile delivery metrics.
• Strong collaboration skills with Product Owners, Delivery Managers, and technical teams.

Desirable Skills

• Experience delivering projects within the UK Public Sector.
• Knowledge of SAFe or other Agile scaling methodologies.
• Previous experience working within digital transformation programmes.
• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
• Additional Agile, Project Management, or Delivery certifications are advantageous.
