Role purpose:

 

The International Cyber Security Support role provides operational and administrative support to the delivery of cyber resilience, compliance and assurance services across UK and international engagements. The role is designed for recent graduates with a master’s degree in cyber security who want to build a career in cyber advisory, governance, risk and compliance, while supporting delivery teams in structured, high‑integrity government and regulated environments.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Support cyber assessments, assurance reviews and compliance activities across frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials, NIS/NIS2 and related standards.
  • Assist in gathering, organising and quality‑checking evidence for assessments, audits, reporting packs and client deliverables.
  • Maintain assessment trackers, risk and issue logs, action registers, document repositories and status reports to support service delivery and governance.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations, meeting packs, minutes, dashboards and follow‑up actions.
  • Work with senior colleagues to track remediation actions, control gaps, non‑conformities and delivery milestones across multiple service orders.
  • Support the use of cyber resilience platforms, workflow tools and reporting dashboards to maintain accurate records and audit trails.
  • Contribute to research, data analysis and basic control reviews under supervision from Advisors and SMEs.
  • Ensure all work is handled in line with confidentiality, data protection and information‑security requirements.

 

Candidate profile

 

  • Master’s degree in Cyber Security is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Security, Digital Forensics, Network Security or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Strong academic understanding of cyber security principles, governance, risk, compliance and security operations.
  • Understanding of common frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials and NCSC CAF is desirable.
  • Strong written communication, document management and reporting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in structured, process‑driven environments.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Willingness to learn new frameworks, delivery methods and client environments quickly.

 

Security and clearance requirements

 

  • Must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum, with willingness and suitability to undergo higher levels of vetting such where required for client assignments.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

 

Development expectations

 

  • Complete mandated security, data protection and confidentiality training on joining.
  • Participate in structured mentoring, aftercare and on‑the‑job development.
  • Work towards relevant entry‑level certifications such as Security+ or equivalent, where agreed.
