Job Description: Business Analyst (Banking Domain)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst to serve as the critical bridge between diverse business stakeholders and our IT department. The ideal candidate will manage communication, gather complex requirements, and translate them into technical specifications for development teams. Direct experience interacting with stakeholders and IT divisions within bank is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units, executive stakeholders, and the IT department.

  • Requirements Gathering: Conduct meetings to elicit, analyze, map, and document clear business and functional requirements.

  • Technical Translation: Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process workflows for the technical team.

  • Banking Compliance: Ensure all proposed solutions align with banking regulations, data sovereignty rules, and local compliance standards.

  • UAT Support: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), define test scenarios, and assist business users in validating technical deliverables.

Role Requirements

Domain & Regional Experience (Mandatory)

  • Banking Context: Proven experience working directly with the IT departments, systems, or business units of Bank.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Bank regulations, guidelines, and compliance frameworks.

  • Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of core banking systems, digital banking channels, or financial workflows.

Core BA Skillset

  • Documentation: Strong skills in writing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), and User Stories.

  • Process Mapping: Proficiency in visual modeling tools like MS Visio or Miro for creating BPMN process flows.

  • Agile Tools: Hands-on experience using Azure DevOps for requirement tracking and project management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.

  • Language Skills: Complete fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
