Job Summary 

Mastek is seeking a motivated Oracle EPM Consultant (CA Fresher) to join the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) practice. This role is ideal for recently qualified Chartered Accountants who are interested in combining finance and technology to help organizations improve planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation processes using Oracle EPM Cloud and related tools. 

The role involves working with senior consultants and client stakeholders to understand business requirements, design EPM solutions, configure applications, and support implementation and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with senior consultants and client teams to understand financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting requirements. 

  • Assist in the design, configuration, and testing of Oracle EPM Cloud modules (such as Planning, FCCS, PCMCS, or related EPM tools) under guidance. 

  • Participate in requirement-gathering workshops, document business processes, and help translate them into functional specifications. 

  • Support the development of reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide meaningful financial and operational insights. 

  • Assist in data mapping, data validation, and reconciliation between source systems and Oracle EPM applications. 

  • Contribute to system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution by preparing test cases, executing tests, and documenting results. 

  • Prepare user guides, training materials, and basic documentation for configurations and processes. 

  • Provide post-implementation support, including issue tracking, basic troubleshooting, and coordination with technical teams. 

  • Stay updated on Oracle EPM features, best practices, and finance transformation trends through continuous learning and internal training. 

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, and business stakeholders) to ensure successful project delivery within timelines. 

 

Qualifications 

  • CA/ CMA/ ACCA Members or Affiliates  

  • 0–1 year of post-qualification experience; articleship / internship experience in finance, audit, or consulting will be considered. 

  • Fundamental understanding of:  

  • Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) 

  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis 

  • Management reporting and MIS 

  • Interest in technology, enterprise applications, and finance transformation. 

  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 

  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both finance and technical stakeholders. 

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a project team. 

  • Willingness to learn Oracle EPM tools and related technologies through structured training and on-the-job experience. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

(Not mandatory; candidates can be trained on these areas.) 

  • Exposure (even academic or internship level) to any ERP/EPM or finance systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, or similar). 

  • Basic understanding of databases, MS Excel advanced functions, and data analysis. 

  • Familiarity with any programming or scripting concepts (e.g., SQL, VBA) is an advantage. 

  • Experience in management consulting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or audit of large enterprises during articleship is beneficial. 

  • Any coursework, certification, or self-learning in Oracle, EPM, analytics, or cloud technologies.
